Meet Loretta - A Lakota Elder & Lifelong Activist

Loretta Afraid Of Bear is a culture keeper, lead Sun Dancer, and longtime activist. She has met with Pope Francis urging him to revoke the racist Papal Bull decrees, and has spent many years advocating for the return of the Black Hills to the Great Sioux Nation.

In the video below, Loretta discusses how the Lakota language and practices were passed down to her by relatives. She speaks about their significance, and why she wants to make them available for all Lakota people for generations to come.

“If we lose the language, how are our children going to know who they are? If we lose our language, what are they going to know about the feeling of being Oglala?” - Loretta Afraid Of Bear

CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVER

I have worked on branding teams for countless enterprise companies and that included finding their unique typography voice in the process. I have worked with brands like Bell Helicopter, Pier 1 Imports, and The Dallas Federal Reserve to name a few.

I specialize in visual branding and print design. I help my clients create a solid visual brand foundation and design assets to create brand awareness to their prospects. This often means digital/social media ads, a new website, packaging design, trade show experiences, or creating templates for their internal team. Unlike other designers, I have project management and founder experience, which helps ensure what we create meets your business goals.
